BeSuomi is a study aid provided by Mobirova. This policy describes the data practices of the live app. BeSuomi is not an official Finnish government service and does not determine eligibility for a test or citizenship.
Account and API access
BeSuomi supports guest access and account registration. Guest users can use the app without providing a name or email address. Users who register provide their name, email address, and password. The app also creates a random installation identifier to support app functionality and enforce free-use limits.
BeSuomi sends account and app data to its API to provide its features. This may include account details, a session token, learning activity, question reports, and information needed to manage a subscription. The API stores account-linked information, and session tokens are stored as hashes.
Learning activity and reports
- Learning records: Practice answers, scores, sessions, progress, bookmarks, and missed-question records are sent to the BeSuomi API/database to save progress and support review features.
- Explanation limits: Explanation views and a hashed installation identifier are sent to the API/database to enforce the free explanation limit across accounts on a device.
- Question reports: If you report a question, the report and any text you choose to enter are sent to the API/database so the content can be reviewed. Avoid including sensitive personal information in report text.
Network and server information
The API and hosting environment may process your IP address, request metadata, and technical connection information to deliver, maintain, and secure the service. Hosting providers may also generate server logs. Log contents and retention periods can vary based on the hosting provider, applicable requirements, and operational or security needs.
Advertising
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share data such as IP address, ad or app interactions, diagnostics, and device identifiers for advertising, analytics, measurement, and fraud prevention. Data collected and its use can vary depending on the Google SDK version, configuration, and services enabled. Google and other relevant third parties process data under their own privacy terms and practices.

Premium and purchases
BeSuomi offers optional Premium subscriptions through Google Play. Google Play processes subscription payments. BeSuomi receives purchase and subscription information, such as the purchase token and subscription status, to verify purchases and manage access to Premium features. BeSuomi does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Retention and deletion
You can submit an account and associated data deletion request through the request flow in the BeSuomi app. If you no longer have the app, use Mobirova's external contact form, select "Account/data deletion request", then choose "BeSuomi". Include the account email or account identifier if available, but never send your password, session token, or purchase token.
Deletion requests are reviewed and handled manually by Mobirova as promptly as reasonably practicable. Submitting a request does not delete data automatically. If you provide an email address, Mobirova can reply or ask for information needed to identify the account. Requests submitted without an email can still be reviewed, but Mobirova cannot send a confirmation or ask follow-up questions.
The external form collects your name, optional email, selected product and topic, message, IP address, and browser information. Those request records are held separately from BeSuomi account data in Mobirova's website contact system and email, and are not automatically deleted when the app account is deleted; they may remain until manually removed.
When a request is verified and processed, Mobirova manually deletes the account and associated account and learning data, including learning records, explanation-limit records, and question reports, subject to information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes. Any data retained and the reason will be explained where applicable. Account-linked records do not have a fixed automatic expiry and remain until a deletion request is processed. Hosting and security logs may be retained separately according to the hosting provider's practices and applicable operational, security, or legal requirements.
